Today the Nechako Valley Sporting Association officially unveiled their new clubhouse. The Nechako Valley Sporting Association offers rich programming using trails and shooting ranges at both recreational and competitive levels in biathlon and cross country skiing, The new clubhouse replaces an old shed which was rat infested, unheated and had no power and light.
With new storage, office and event space, the building will provide the space needed to support not-only daily community use, but also the hosting of training camps and large-scale tournaments that brings participants to Vanderhoof from across the province.
Northern Development is proud to have supported the $43,000 project with $30,000 from the Community Halls and Recreation Facilities program. This is the second time the Trust has funded this facility, with a total investment of more than $58,000.
