The purpose of this intake is to design, construct, and implement a resilient telecommunications link between Haida Gwaii and mainland British Columbia. This link will provide high-capacity, reliable connectivity and offer open access for other service providers to foster competition and digital inclusion.
Solutions should be capable of providing sufficient capacity to support services to the 2,400 households on Haida Gwaii as well as emergency communications, cellular services and a number of anchor institutions.
