2012 – The Mount Moresby Adventure Camp, which is run by a non-profit organization, is the perfect spot for companies, classes, or any group of people to get together and learn to work as a team. The Mount Moresby Adventure Camp Society provides the infrastructure that allows for the promotion of outdoor education and recreation in a safe, comfortable and affordable environment on Haida Gwaii. The camp promotes ecotourism as an emerging segment of the tourism industry on Haida Gwaii which incorporates ideals from nature tourism, cultural tourism and rural tourism, with the addition of an emphasis on conservation, education, traveler responsibility and active community involvement.
The Mount Moresby Adventure Camp has built two new log houses to increase the comfort and overall experience for the visitors. The landscape of the grounds around the Mount Moresby Adventure Camp has been improved to make the property more attractive and increase the rate of returning visitors. A new marketing campaign has been very successful for the Mount Moresby Adventure Camp. With its new website and ads in regional newspapers, Mount Moresby Adventure Camp is becoming a destination for tourist groups from all over the world.
