Over 25 years of community efforts came together today in Vanderhoof as the goal of $12 million in funding was successfully raised for a project that will be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike for many years to come.
The Vanderhoof Aquatic Centre has been a much-needed facility for the community, for both recreation and rehabilitation.
$250,000 has been committed to the project through Northern Development’s Economic Diversification Infrastructure program, in addition to funds from numerous other supporters, fundraising, federal and provincial governments, as well as the District of Vanderhoof.
