| Janine North Janine North is the founding CEO of the Northern Development Initiative Trust. Ms. North was previously a senior advisor to the BC Forest Safety Council, a management consultant to banks and resource industry companies, a Forest District Manager, and the General Manager of a consortium of logging, trucking and road construction companies. Ms. North is a Governor on both the Business Council of British Columbia and the Association of Mineral Exploration of BC, and co-chairs the Northwest Powerline Coalition. She previously chaired the Nechako-Kitamaat Development Fund and served as Vice Chair of the Central Interior Logging Association and Vice President of the Agricultural Institute of Canada. Janine is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and a Rotarian. Her commitment to excellence has been recognized through being honoured by Business in Vancouver’s Influential Women in Business Awards (2010), Northern BC Woman of Influence and Impact (2009), Northern BC Mentor of the Year to Industry and Business (2010), Northern BC Newsmaker of the Year Northwest Powerline Coalition (Co-Chair) (2010), and Central Interior Logging Association Contractor of the Year (2004) |
![]() | Dennis Callaghan Dennis Callaghan joins the Northern Development executive staff team with several years of experience as a controller for northern companies involved in the manufacturing and construction sectors. Dennis also has a wealth of experience in project management, the creation and management of public / private partnerships, and the development and execution of strategic planning. Dennis holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern British Columbia in addition to his undergraduate degree, and is currently pursuing a Certified Management Accountant designation. ![]() | Brodie Guy Brodie Guy is the Economic Development Manager acting as a key point of contact for businesses, communities, and non-profit organizations in Northern Development's Northwest and Prince George regions (see regional map). Prior to joining Northern Development, Brodie held marketing, business development, and project management positions in a number of industry sectors including environmental technology, marine transportation, biotech, forest products, equipment manufacturing, as well as within the public sector. ![]() | Dean McKinley Dean McKinley is the Economic Development Manager acting as a key point of contact for businesses, communities and non-profit organizations in Northern Development's Northeast and Cariboo-Chilcotin/Lillooet regions(see regional map). Dean has 15 years of project and program management experience with various Provincial agencies in the recreation and tourism sector as well as several years of experience as a consultant in resort and marina development and management. Dean has also worked with developers to build economic partnerships with First Nations and with First Nations directly in an economic development role. | Karen Borden Karen Borden has been Executive Coordinator to the Board and staff of Northern Development Initiative Trust since its inception in 2005. She has over 25 years of executive administrative experience in both the public and private sectors. Karen has previous experience with regional economic development as the Executive Assistant to the Ministers’ Advisory Group, Softwood Industry Community Economic Adjustment Initiative. She and her family have lived in Prince George since 1989, and she enjoys the many benefits that living in Northern BC offers. |
![]() | Nadine Sharma Nadine Sharma holds an Accounting and Finance Diploma from the College of New Caledonia, graduating at the top of her class and receiving an academic award from the Governor General of Canada. Her previous experience comes from the retail industry where she developed administrative, finance and client service skills. Nadine is a lifelong resident of Northern BC and enjoys the outdoors and lifestyle advantages that this region provides. |
![]() | Holly Hill Born and raised in Fort St. John, Holly attended Carleton University in Ottawa, earning her Bachelor of Computer Science degree with a minor in mathematics. Since then she has developed software for a wide range of clients, including silviculture companies, financial institutions, and the Canadian Navy. Holly has experience in every step of the software life cycle, from requirements gathering and design, through development and quality assurance to training and technical support. She came home to northern BC in 2004, and has recently decided to pursue new challenges in the field of accounting, joining the CGA program. |

She has over 10 years experience in various administrative roles and has held positions in the construction, education, commercial and non-profit industries. Born and raised in Prince George, Jeanette returned to northern BC after 5 years in Calgary to be closer to her family. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast and can often be found enjoying the local surroundings. |
![]() | Evan van Dyk Evan joined the Northern Development team as part of the new Northern Development Internship program. He has been a lifelong resident of Northern BC and has recently completed his Bachelors of Commerce from the University of Northern BC. Outside of Northern Development, Evan is a sports enthusiast and spends his free time on the field, in the rink, and in front of a TV cheering for his beloved Vancouver Canucks.

![]() | Kelly Bryan Born and raised in Williams Lake, Kelly is joining the Northern Development team immediately following his completion of a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Northern BC, where his main focuses were Marketing, International Business, and Economics. He has held positions with government agencies on both the provincial and federal levels. Kelly enjoys sports and recreational activities and is excited about the opportunities and advantages associated with living and working in the north. |
