Northern Development CEO Janine North is interviewed by CKPG News following the, "Perspectives from the North" session of the Opportunities North: The Northern Economic Summit. Mayor Joanne Monaghan (District of Kitimat), Mayor Dan Rogers (City of Prince George), and John Rustad (MLA Prince George-Omineca) also provided perspectives on economic development in northern British Columbia during the session.

The interactive summit held in Prince George, BC January 22-23 2009, featuring prominent national and international speakers and BC cabinet ministers, explored the options and opportunities related to a wide range of issues, including the state of the global economy, job-creating green technoloies, transportation, productivity and labour mobility, international trade and economic diversification.
